AI calling for financial advisers in Singapore
For a financial adviser, an AI voice agent does the prospecting, not the advising. It finds who is willing to have a conversation and books it. Everything after that is regulated activity and remains yours.
That line is not a technicality. It determines what you can script, what you must not, and what your compliance team will ask about first.
We are not a vendor. ColdCalling.sg does not sell AI calling. We compare what is available in Singapore and introduce you to the provider that fits, at no cost to you.
How this sector measures volume
Every industry counts something different, which is why a single question about "calls per month" produces guesses. For financial advisers the useful number is contact records worked per month, so that is what we ask:
“Roughly how many contact records does your team work through each month?”
An estimate is fine. It is used to size concurrency and cost, not to hold you to anything. Any volume range we quote on this page is reasoned from how the sector operates, not measured from Singapore data, because no public dataset covers it. Treat it as a starting point for the conversation with a provider rather than a benchmark.
For this sector the solution category that usually fits first is AI appointment setting. If you are still deciding, the comparison of every solution category sets them side by side.
Common use cases
- Booking first meetings from a prospect list
- Reactivating clients who have not been reviewed in years
- Inviting clients to portfolio review conversations
- Event and seminar invitations
- Qualifying inbound enquiries before an adviser calls
- Confirming and reminding on booked meetings
Where it works
- Consistent prospecting when advisers are busy servicing existing clients
- Neutral qualification before an adviser spends an hour
- Reactivation of dormant relationships at a scale nobody has time for
- Recorded, reviewable outreach that compliance can audit
Where it does not
- Anything resembling advice, recommendation or product suitability
- Discussing a client's specific holdings or circumstances
- Handling a complaint or a market-driven panic call
- Conversations that need to read tone and adjust
Three things specific to this sector
Keep the line between prospecting and advice visible
Write the script so that a compliance reviewer can see the boundary at a glance. Ambiguity is what gets deployments rejected.
Recording is an asset here, not just an obligation
A complete, retained recording of what was said on an outreach call is worth having if a client later disputes it. Ask where recordings are stored and for how long.
Reactivation is usually the best starting point
Existing relationships are easier conversations and better first tests. Note that the ongoing relationship exemption does not cover voice calls, so screening still applies.
Compliance
The PDPA applies as it does to any marketing call. On top, MAS consulted in 2023 on requiring representatives to state upfront that a call is to market financial products and on banning gift inducements. As at the review date that was a proposal rather than a rule in force, so confirm the current position. Firm-level script approval is usually required regardless.

The script decides the outcome
The script must stay clearly on the prospecting side of the line. No product recommendation, no suitability language, no implied returns. Ask permission early, state the purpose plainly, and make the objective a meeting rather than a decision.
Ask any provider whether they have written scripts for financial advisers before, and ask to see one with the client name removed. Why the script matters more than the platform.
Two limits that bite hardest in advisory work. Older prospects often prefer Mandarin or dialect and most agents cannot switch once the call is running, so segment the list by the language on record. And because a live call cannot be handed over, an interested prospect cannot be passed to you at the moment of interest, which on advisory work is most of the value of the call.
